What Solar Patch Actually Is

Solar Patch is a fiberglass-reinforced repair patch with a peel-and-stick backing. Press it over the damaged area and it cures rock-hard in sunlight or under a UV light — no mixing, no measuring, no mess.
Steel, aluminum, PVC, ABS, rubber, wood, fiberglass, and polyethylene — including surfaces most tapes and adhesives won't bond to, like polyethylene kayak and boat hulls.
Yes. Once cured, Solar Patch forms a rigid, waterproof bond — dealers and customers use it below the waterline on boat hulls and on outdoor equipment exposed to weather year-round.
Standard sizes run from 2"×3" minis up to 9"×12" for most repairs. Need something bigger or a different shape? Custom cuts are available up to 3ft×30ft, with minimum order quantities.

Getting It On, And Getting It Cured
Any crew can apply it right, the first time.
Four steps: cut Solar Patch to size, peel back the liner, press it on with firm even pressure, then let it cure. That's the whole process — no tools, no chemicals to store.
5 to 10 minutes in direct sunlight. If sunlight isn't available, a UV light cures it just as well, on the same timeline.
Use a UV light instead of sunlight. It cures Solar Patch on the same timeline, so weather or working indoors doesn't hold up the repair.
A clean, dry surface gives the best bond. Wipe away dirt, grease, or loose debris before pressing the patch on — no sanding or primer required.
Yes — Solar Patch can be cut to size and shape with scissors or a utility knife before you peel the liner, so it's easy to fit odd tears, corners, or curves.

Yes — it carries a Class 1 fire rating under ASTM E84-18 and BS 476 Part 7.
Solar Patch is rated to 200°C dry and 90°C wet, with a flash point above 32°C under ASTM D93.
Once cured, it's hammer-tested to hold under direct impact — built to outlast the surface it's protecting.
